I think most of the Zerkalo tracks were produced with strong involvement of Mueller, but "Last meeting", "Experiment Zero", "King", "When i was sick" and "How difficult" sound to me like Mueller was not really involved, at least not sound-wise.

i'm sorry but I hate the voice of that girl in the Zerkalo tracks, all the more so as the music is excellent as usual. the rustie remix is awesome also, can't wait for it to be really released.

in mr mueller's "new style", there are often sounds that remind me of a 'trautonium' which is a electronic instrument that was played and co-developed by oskar sala

(sorry here is the end of the comment below)

As reported before, it seems that Mueller's new experiment went on with the trautonium, the very first electronic musical instrument co-developed by Oscar Sala.
That's interesting because his colleague that appeared on the Sterilization EP credits and working for Doepfer, built the sound engine of one of the very few trautonium instruments.

surprised this site has no mention of writer KODWO ESHUN and his most remarkable writings on Drexciya.

Your right about KODWO ESHUN, I was sure a reverence to him was in some article by now. Must do something small on him soon.

on of the best articles on DREXCIYA "Fear of A Wet Planet" is by Ehsun can be found at
http://www.thewire.co.uk/articles/123/

Eshun is one of the few Black writers to write about this music and to mind he grasps the intent very well

Drexciya are also featured heavily in his book More Brilliant Than The Sun - he certainly heavily supported their work

I love the Zerkalo vocals. Mueller's and Lukas' styles definitely differ in compositional and sound qualities.
In this project Mueller doesn't seem to be the singular dominating figure he usually is, subsuming others' (his collaborators) elements/contributions for his individual, musical intentions (what he love him for!!!).

This project involves so many elements from outside his own myth arc and nomenclature...and because of this, it should be something very special! Can't wait for the live set!

re: previous post: i don't really hear such a difference between BR, ZW and ZK, sound-wise it is all dominated by Mueller imo. As for the vocals, i heard already more people having difficulties to get into the Zerkalo vocals, but i also heard the same about the BR voice that is in some moments similiar to Lukas/ZK voice imo. Well, just a matter of taste. I guess all of these projects will have their fans.

Went to the Dopplereffekt show last night at the Le Poisson Rouge. Very nice. It was a lot more up tempo than I expected - i.e. not much from the last album. It seemed as though there were a lot of new tracks all very Kraftwerk sounding. I hope that means we're in for a new Album! Just like the European shows they both came on unannounced, with the black masks on, facing each other. The visuals were pretty cool, mainly focusing on Quantum Mechanics theory and snippets from videos we've all seen on YouTube. There was no communication with the crowd at all but that didn't stop people from whooping it up. Saying that, although, the show was up-tempo there was not much dancing. I think most people were surprised that they weren't hearing stuff from Calabi Yau Space, or maybe they were more like me, in awe that they were even playing New York in the first place.

I'm not against american tastes at all, but I don't think the public there really acknowledges and appreciates that sort of electronic music. Electronic music isn't really popular around, except Chicago, Detroit, Miami for sure. And I still wonder why do people in attendance and venues owners think they will attend a live concert with the two scientists playing live their old material featured on Gesamtkunstwerk... It makes no sense at all, I mean those who are aware of the latest releases and care about the latest Müller's work outcome - which is probably 9 freaks out of 10 attending their shows - know what is to be expected.

miss lukas: i just find that selection of tracks predictable. the tracks themselves are not boring but the selection was. at least in my point of view.

normally we don't do any mixes, this time we did, not to surprise people, but because it was a good occasion to pay hommage to someone special.
